1. Who is responsible for the processing of personal data?

This privacy policy applies to the processing of personal data by:

This entity is responsible for the processing of personal data of guests in the context of the rental of the holiday accommodation Bellerose, located at Bilkske 28, 8000 Bruges.


2. Which personal data are collected?

Only the data necessary for the proper organisation of the stay are collected:

  • First and last name
  • Address
  • Telephone number and e-mail address
  • Number of guests, period of stay and any special requests
  • Payment details (where applicable)
  • Data required by law (e.g. registration obligations with the City of Bruges)

When the tenant subscribes to the newsletter, we also process the tenant’s name and e-mail address for that purpose.


3. For what purposes are these data processed?

Personal data are processed for the following purposes:

  • Managing reservations and communication relating to the stay
  • Complying with legal obligations (e.g. tourist registration or taxes)
  • Processing payments and administrative purposes
  • Sending newsletters or promotional offers (only with the tenant’s consent)

4. Legal basis for processing

Personal data are processed on the basis of:

  • Contractual necessity (performance of the booking agreement);
  • Legal obligations (e.g. registration with the city or tourist tax);
  • Consent (for newsletters and marketing communications).

Consent may be withdrawn at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by contacting the landlord directly by e-mail.


5. Data retention periods

  • Booking and invoicing data: 7 years (statutory administrative retention period);
  • Identification or registration data: as long as required by local regulations;
  • Newsletter data: until unsubscription.

After expiry of these periods, the data will be securely deleted or anonymised.


6. Sharing of data with third parties

Personal data are not sold or shared with third parties, except where necessary:

  • For bookings made via platforms (such as Airbnb or Booking.com);
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tourist registration with the City of Bruges);
  • With service providers assisting with administration or cleaning, subject to a data processing agreement.

7. Data security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken to protect personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access, including:

  • Secure storage and password protection
  • Encrypted communication (HTTPS, secure e-mail)
  • Restricted access to personal data

8. Rights of the tenant

The tenant has the right to:

  • Access their personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of data (where legally permitted)
  • Object to the processing of data
  • Withdraw consent at any time

9. Complaints

If the tenant believes that their personal data are being processed unlawfully, a complaint may be lodged with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (DPA):
